The European Union's envoy to Jerusalem al-Quds Lars Faaborg-Andersen has criticized Israel for its continued demolition of Palestinian homes in Area C

The Israeli authorities demolished or seized 28 Palestinian buildings in Al Quds and Area C under the pretext of not obtaining Israeli permits for building, said a report issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The Israeli authorities targeted buildings and water wells donated by donor bodies in response to previous demolition operations, added the report, which was issued from August 23 until September 5.

The Israeli forces implemented demolitions in Hebron and used explosives to demolish a house of the family of a detained Palestinian, added the report.

The report also noted that the Israeli forces carried out 186 inspection operations and detentions and detained 239 Palestinians in the West Bank.
