President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday stressed the need for removing encroachments on the Nile river.
Speaking at the Galaa Theater, where he is reviewing the outcome of his directives to remove encroachments on state-owned lands, the president said the priority will be given to removing violations on the islands of the River Nile.
"The state will not allow anybody to pollute the Nile water," he vowed, adding that the state pays millions of pounds to establish water treatment plants to clean the Nile water.
