A team of public prosecution investigators headed to the scene of a blast that occurred early Thursday in the eastern Cairo neighborhood of Nasr City, which left five people injured. The explosion took place at a median garden in the intersection of Youssef Abbas and Mostafa el-Nahas streets, targeting a public transport bus that was driving by. The investigators examined the scene, asked witnesses and questioned the injured, whose condition was stable enough to talk. A team of explosives experts from the Criminal Evidence Investigation Department was also formed to examine the bomb remnants and determine its type.
