Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdulattif Al-Zayyani condemned a car bomb attack that occurred on Friday in downtown Beirut, killing five people including a former minister. Zayyani termed the bombing as a coward and criminal act which is incompatible with humanitarian principles. He expressed hope that authorities will bring perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.
