The Egyptian authorities today opened the Rafah border crossing between the southern Gaza Strip and Egypt for passenger traffic in both directions. The General Authority of Border Crossings in Gaza said that all people registered in recent lists would be allowed to travel, pointing out that seven buses left yesterday through the crossing. The Egyptian authorities decided last Saturday to keep the crossing open until Thursday.
