Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi ordered Sunday support teams of the Armed Forces Logistics Authority and the Armed Forces Engineering Authority to repair damage caused by heavy rains in some governorates and to provide the necessary care for the affected people.

This comes as part of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to help the state bodies on how to deal with the effects of the bad weather’s wave that swept several governorates. 

The Armed Forces’ role is not limited to defending the homeland but also includes participation in achieving the comprehensive development as well as easing burdens on citizens nationwide, Sobhi asserted.
