As many as 588 travelers crossed Rafah border terminal on Thursday from both directions, a well-placed source at the crossing said. The sourced added that 503 crossed the terminal into Egypt and another 85 entered into the Gaza Strip. Since adopting the new mechanism for its operation in May 28, 2011, the total number of people crossing the terminal has reached 930,047.
