South Korea and United states on Saturday have conducted a new round of joint military drills using ballistic missile in response to N. Korea's intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch.

Military drills have been carried out along the eastern cost using S.Korean short range missiles in addition to the U.S. Eight Army's Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), Yonhap News Agency reported.

The allies reaffirmed their capabilities for precise strikes on the enemy's leadership, the South Korean's joint chief of staff said in a statement.

The two sides demonstrated their ability to work together to defend South Korea, Eight's Army Commander Thomas Vandal said, asserting forces' readiness to fight any time to deter N.Korea's provocations and if necessary defend the Republic of Korea.
