Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, on Tuesday, discussed with Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan, in the presence of representatives from U.S republican and democratic parties, the strategic partnership between Jordan and the U.S. and latest regional and international developments and ways to deal with them.

Judeh stressed Jordan’s keenness to further deepen its relationship with the United States in various fields, to serve the interest of both countries and peoples, voicing his appreciation for the U.S. support to Jordan.

The two sides highlighted regional and international efforts to counter terrorism and extremism within a holistic approach. In this context, Judeh said Jordan was and will always be at the forefront of such efforts.

The meeting tackled the Palestinian issue and the Syrian crisis.

The U.S. House Speaker stressed his country’s keenness to continue promoting cooperation and partnership with Jordan, which has become a model in various fields.

He voiced the U.S. appreciation and support to Jordan’s positive and essential role towards various issues and challenges, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, as a key player and a regional leader.
