Baghdad - Arab Today
Two bombs blew up subsequently in Baghdad's largest bazaar on Thursday claiming at least two lives, police said.
A police source told KUNA two explosive devices went off one after the other in Al-Arabi market, the largest popular market in the city.
Eight people were also wounded in the twin explosion, and the victims were taken to nearby hospitals, the source said.
The blasts triggered fires at nearby clothes, cosmetics and perfume stores, and firemen rushed in to put out the blazes.
Baghdad, other Iraqi cities and regions have been witnessing such attacks for years. The notorious group Al-Qaeda, along with offshoot factions, is blamed for a large number of these deadly incidents.
