Ankara - Arab Today
Turkey has temporarily closed the Cilvegözü border crossing with Syria after the rise of clashes between Syrian troops and opposition forces near the Syrian village of Sarmada.
Turkey's decision came to protect the Turkish drivers and passengers operating in the border crossing in anticipation of escalation of violence there.
Despite the closure of the crossing, Syrian nationals are still fleeing the ongoing fighting in Syria via Bab al-Hawa crossing on the Syrian side.
