Between 1,800 and 2,200 Syrian refugees are entering Jordanian territory to flee the conflict every day, according to military sources. Displaced persons, mostly women and children, are continuing to enter Jordan as the government refuses to closes its borders. “Returning to Syria is a refugee’s choice,” sources said. “Any refugee who wants to return to their country fills out a form and security forces will help them to reach a safe border area.” Jordanian Refugees Affairs Department spokesman Anmar Hmoud has meanwhile told Arabstoday returning refugees will be carried out “voluntarily.” Over 4,000 displaced persons have returned to Syria from Jordan since the conflict began.
