A conference for the Syrian opposition kicked off here on Monday with the participation of more than 150 figures representing different opposition groups.

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is attending the conference which will run for two days.

The conference, held under the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, aims at reaching an agreement on next steps to be taken to end the years-long crisis in Syria.
