Syrian missiles have been fired into Lebanon landing only a short distance from a Lebanese army camp. The town of Arsal, located on the Lebanon- Syrian border was targeted in the strike. So far the only reported damage is that of a local home owner. This is the second time in recent weeks that Syrian air force jets have attacked Lebanese territory. The same area was targeted in March in what Lebanese President Michel Sleiman described as an “unacceptable violation” of Lebanese territory. Damascus has previously warned it may strike at Syrian rebels across the border.
