A security force killed a suicide bomber and blew up his car bomb in Nineveh, 405km north of Baghdad, said a police source. The suicide bomber was trying to target an army patrol in Tall Afar, west of Mosul, the province's capital, when the force opened fire at his car on Sunday, said the security source. No casualties were reported among the security personnel. Nineveh has been engulfed in violence using car bombs, explosive devices and armed attacks which resulted in many casualties. Source: MENA
