Soldiers from Sudan's army

Sudan's army said that it had repelled an attack launched by the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) militants in South Kordofan state, which borders South Sudan.
The army killed 50 members of the movement, who were targeting two villages in the state, while four soldiers were killed and several others were injured during exchanged clashes, according to a spokesman.
The attack is the second in 24 hours after one earlier on another village in the same state.
The escalations come as peace talks, aimed at putting an end to three years of fighting, between the government and the SPLM stalled.
