Chief Prosecutor Nabil Ahmed ordered Saturday forming a seven-way committee to prepare an all-out report on the Cairo-Alexandria trains collision on Friday.
In a statement on Saturday, the prosecutor's office said the committee comprises specialists from the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, the consultancy office of the Military Technical College and Administrative Control Authority (ACA).
Two passenger trains collided in Alexandria on Friday, leaving behind at least 41 dead and 132 injured.
The committee will inspect the accident scene to technically assess the railroad condition and the railway semaphore signal system. 
Also, they would examine the two trains, operating systems and the automatic train control (ATC) system which involves a speed control mechanism in response to external inputs. 
The committee’s report would give a list of system shortcomings, manpower responsibilities and data collected from the operating systems, the statement said. 
The committee shall name entities responsible for maintenance of the railroads and signal systems, according to the prosecutor general. 
It is expected also to provide an evaluation for the safety standards as well as the stop and clear semaphore signals. 
It would analyze data collected from the two trains to pinpoint those responsible for the accident, the statement said.
