A number of anonymous gunmen fired shots toward Senior Egyptian judge Ahmed al-Zind in an attempted assassination. Witnesses says the attack happened when when al-Zind was coming out of the Judges' Club headquarters along with other judges and prosecutors. He did not suffer any injuries, and three of the attackers were arrested as they tried to escape. Earlier, a number of demonstrators had gathered in front of the Judges' Club to protest against al-Zind and other judges.
