Armed rebel groups attacked Tuesday number of cities and towns in the region of Darfur, Sudan.
The rebels have continued to rage in several towns in the region of Darfur stirring clashes with the Sudanese armed forces, Governor of North Darfur State, Osman Kibir has said.
The military forces are hunting down the rebels near Al-Tawisha, North Darfur, Kibir told the pro-government Ashorooq TV.
Regional student unions denounced the rebel attacks for targeting the civilians.
Earlier, Darfur rebels claimed capturing areas and killing dozens of government soldiers, but Khartoum denied the killing or the defeat of its forces.
