Rafah border

The Rafah border terminal with the Gaza Strip remained open on Thursday for the sixth day in a row to allow stranded Palestinians and aid supplies into the coastal enclave.

The crossing first opened on Saturday for three days but the Egyptian authorities decided to keep it open for more two days in celebration of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

The Rafah terminal had been closed following the Karm el Qawadis terrorist attack on October 24, 2014.

It has exceptionally re-opened every now and then to allow stranded Palestinians into either sides of the crossing and to deliver aid.
