Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, a Sinai-based al-Qaida-inspired group claimed responsibility for all the bombing attacks hit the country on Friday and Saturday, the group said in a statement Saturday.
Late Friday, the group also warned Egyptians against holding any pro-military rallies on Saturday.
Ansar Beit al-Maqdis is a supporter of former Islamist president Mohamed Morsi, who was removed by the military last July following mass protests against his rule and his Muslim Brotherhood group.
