Supporters of ousted Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi have blocked roads in the capital Cairo in protest against his exclusion. Activists put up steel barriers on Ramsis street and Jala street on Monday, vowing to strike until the former head of state is reinstated. Families of Muslim Brotherhood members marched from the central 6th October Bridge to Nahda Square demanding Morsi\'s return. Security forces intensified their presence in the area, using armoured vehicles to open up the bridge and contain the situation. The official Facebook page of Egypt\'s police warned against any attempt to storm military or security institutions, asserting that the protesters would be met with force.
