Northern military zone commander Ali Adel Ashmawy said the graduation of new batches from military colleges and institutes coincides with the anniversary of July 23 revolution and the inauguration of the Mohamed Naguib military base.
The new base resembles those of modern world armies, he said.
The base was set up in this zone in view of its strategic importance as the zone includes several vital targets that need protection from any potential threats, referring to the rapid and consecutive changes in the region. (MORE)
