The Palestinian foreign ministry strongly denounced a visit by Israeli President Reuven Rivlin to the Old Town and settlement areas in Hebron considering the move as an escalation on Israel's part.
A statement released by the ministry on Tuesday said the visit is an official Israeli aggression and an encouragement of the settlement activities and the provocative acts of settlers.
The ministry called on the international community and all world nations and UN organizations to confront such practices.
