Unidentified gunmen on Thursday killed a former Pakistani government officer in Karachi, Southern Pakistan, Local media reported. Assailants opened fire on the former income tax commissioner Mumtaz Sheikh, as they were waiting for him in a car outside his house, police said. The government officer died on the spot while the gunmen escaped from the scene. Investigation into the attack is underway.
