Morocco’s armed forces said in a statement that one its F-16 fighter jets taking part in the Saudi-led Sunni coalition airstrikes against the Houthi rebels in Yemen has gone missing.

The statement which was carried by the state news agency MAP said early Monday that the plane has been missing since 6 p.m. the previous day.

The pilot of a second jet in the same squadron could not see if the pilot had ejected, it said. An investigation is under way, the statement added.
