More than 1,000 Egyptians have been evacuated from Yemen so far, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aatti on Wednesday.
He added that 800 Egyptians arrived to Saudi Arabia via border crossings since the beginning of the Saudi-led operation against Huthi militant group in Yemen on March 25.
More Egyptians have entered Oman, others arrived to Djibouti on board cargo ships, he added.
The Egyptian authorities are in contact with other countries to coordinate evacuation operations from war-torn Yemen.
