Over the past 24 hours 301 Egyptians fleeing the conflict in Libya returned home via the Salloum crossing point western Egypt, Matrouh Security Chief Maj. Gen. El Anani Hahouda said on Tuesday.
Out of the 301, 87 people arrived illegally, he added.
Thousands of Egyptians have fled the war-torn country as security situation deteriorating sharply.
