Mauritanian opposition parties have condemned the ousting and isolation of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, describing it as a blow to constitutional legitimacy in Egypt.?
In a joint statement, Mauritanian Coordination of Democratic Opposition (COD) said military intervention went against the tenets of democracy.
The parties accused the military of being biased towards one side in the conflict, and denounced military coups as a way of resolving conflicts between political parties.?
COD urged Egyptian officials to return to the constitutional model and lead by example for other ?Arab and Islamic countries.?
