Tunisian President Dr Moncef Marzouki has invited his Egyptian counterpart Mohammed Morsi to visit Tunisia as the country celebrates the second anniversary of the revolution on January 14 next year. The announcement was made as Marzouki received assistant to President Morsi, Samir Morcos, at the Presidential Palace in Carthage.
The meeting between Morcos and President Marzouki focused on further linking the democratic transition between the two countries and exchanging expertise in all areas.
Morcos stated during the visit that the revolutionary race of democratic transition between the two countries gives their mutual relations a special momentum in all arenas. The presidential assistant pointed at the successful advancement towards democracy as a priority for both states. He spoke of cooperation in this area through the exchange of expertise and studying the special characteristics of each case in order to use the lessons of every experience to overcome the current challenges.
