A cache of weapons with links to the Syrian conflict, has been seized in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, it has emerged today. According to a source in Lebanon’s security forces, nine Syrians have been arrested after local police found a store of weapons in the Basta area of Beirut. It is yet to be confirmed whether the weapons were destined to arm the Syrian conflict, and authorities have still released any details of the identities of the detainees. In other news, security sources have revealed that a cell of 17 Syrians has been discovered in southern Beirut, although no other details have been released.
