Beirut - Georges Chahine
Lebanese security forces Saturday prevented around 150 people from blocking a road linking Beirut to Damascus and used by Syrian fuel trucks.
Angry protesters from the village of Majdal Anjar attempted to stop Syrian trucks from entering Lebanon through the eastern town of Bar Elias. Security forces eased the situation and made sure the road was cleared for the trucks to pass through.
Elsewhere, several Syrian tanks entered Beirut from the east, to be filled with Lebanese oil and return to Syria.
