Missiles hit a council area in South Israel on Tuesday night as fighting escalates between Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza. Sources said a total of about ten missiles hit the area of Eshkol. No casualties were reported. Israeli army officials asked residents to remain indoors for their safety. The situation in Gaza escalated after an Israeli soldier suffered a severe injury in an explosion near Kesofem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said a strong retaliation with be launched against Gaza. Netanyahu said Palestinian forces in Gaza are receiving support from Iran. Chief of general staff Benny Gantz said: "Israel is facing attack from all sides and we don’t know how the situation will evolve.”
