Nineveh Governor Ethel Nujaifi survived an assassination attempt that targeted his convoy in Mosul, about 405km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Monday. An improvised explosive device was placed in a street in Qusya where the motorcade was driving. Security forces rushed to the scene, cordoning off the area. Source: MENA
