Iraqi parliamentarian Hamed al-Khodari has called for intensifying diplomatic efforts to suspend foreign efforts aimed at fuelling sectarian strife in Iraq. Khodari called on Iraqi security forces to confront violations. The official told Arab Today that the government should \"pay attention\" to the diplomatic side, urging the need to prevent other countries from pushing the sectarian strife. He called on the Iraqi government to liaise with international organisations, including the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to pressurise countries working to cause rifts in Iraq.
