An Iraqi army officer will be tried for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl, the Ministry of Defence announced on Thursday, following an investigation Arabstoday conducted on the case. In a statement, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said: "In response to your publication regarding the alleged rape committed by an army officer, the Defence Ministry have ordered the trial of the suspect."
