Baghdad - Jaafar Al Nasrawy
A member in the Iraqi parliament survived an assassination attempt which targeted his car through a bomb in west Baghdad.
A source in the Iraqi interior ministry said to Arabstoday that a bomb exploded Saturday evening targeting MP Ahmed Al Alwany while he crossed the connecting road between Fallujah and Baghdad in the Shiha, western district of Abu Ghraib, 20 km west of Baghdad. Two MP security officials were injured whilst many cars were visibly damaged. However, MP Alwany was not harmed during the attack.
