Iraqi jets and artillery with the help of the international alliance shelled some Daesh sites in Tikrit Thursday, security sources said.
The move comes in preparation for a ground incursion into the city.
Eight Daesh hideouts were destroyed and scores of the group’s members were killed during the shelling.
