The joint Iraqi forces thwarted on Thursday a suicide attack by Daesh militants that targeted western Anbar province with nine booby-trapped cars.
Nine booby-trapped vehicles were damaged by the Iraqi forces and the suicide bombers were killed, said local and security sources in Anbar.
The spokesman of the anti-terrorism department Sabah Nomani said that the golden squad will have a vital role in freeing Tikrit province from Daesh, adding that this process will be implemented during the coming days.
