The number of injured in the bus collision that occurred on Ain Sokhna-Suez highway rose to 54, said director of Suez crisis center Brigadier General Alaa Ismail.

Suez hospitals are on high alert in order to receive the wounded and to deal with any further accidents, especially that a large number of people use this road to reach various hotels and tourist resorts to spend their summer vacations, he added.

Eyewitnesses told MENA that the accident, which also left five dead, occurred when one of the two buses veered off the road and crashed into the other bus, which was moving in the opposite direction.
