Hundreds of Egyptians held a march on Friday in support of the Syrian uprising against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The crowd gathering in front of the Azhar Mosque called for supporting the Syrian people against the bloodshed policy of al-Assad that he has used since the breakout of the popular revolt about 20 months ago.
The demonstrators condemned the violence against the Syrians, calling on the Muslim nation to save the Syrian people and the Arab and international organizations to assume their responsibilities.
The crowd chanted slogans condemning Assad’s crimes against his people, while a group of them marched later to Tahrir Square.
