A huge blast hit Arish overnight Saturday.

A bomb planted near the house of a policeman in el Obour neighborhood in Arish went off, destroying the walls of an adjacent building, a security source said.

The house of the policeman was empty because it had been targeted days ago, the source noted.

The explosion wounded a family of six members, who were all moved to hospital, he said.

Security troops are combing the area, the source added.
