French President François Hollande will deliver an address to the Moroccan parliament on April 4, Arabstoday has learned from parliamentary sources. With the parliament now in session, Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane has issued an emergency decree summoning members to hear the French leader’s speech. There had been talk in Morocco of an exceptional session starting in mid-March dedicated to legislating for upcoming general elections. However the country’s ruling majority failed to agree on a date for elections.
