Gunmen exploded a power station west of Ramadi, Anbar Province Monday morning, capturing its guards and their weapons.
After seizing control of the Kabisa power generating station, the unidentified gunmen seized the guards and their weapons and then set the station ablaze.
Power was cut off from the city and surrounding areas, while the guards were led to an undisclosed destination, a security source in Anbar said.
Earlier in the day, two suicide bombers were killed by security forces while attempting to storm a police station north of Fallujah.
