A number of unidentified gunmen have shot dead a Libyan colonel in Benghazi.
The gunmen, who were traveling in a car, opened fire at Colonel Salem Shalash al-Obeidi in Dullar neighborhood on Friday night, killing him on the spot, a security source said.
They fled the scene, the source added.
Obeidi's body was moved to Benghazi Medical Center, he said.
