Rabat - Jawad Alkhne
A former Moroccan military official who was disciplined for exposing corruption and bribery near the Moroccan-Algerian border has announced plans to go on strike.
Ibrahim Jalti will mark the 11th anniversary of his arrest by beginning an indefinite strike close to the Moroccan-Algerian borders on May 21.
In a YouTube video, Jalti claimed that Moroccan army generals continue to benefit from smuggling operations in the region.
Last year, the former general wrote a book titled: Military Officials In Breach, in which he accused military officials of working with criminal gangs.
