Rabat - Redouane Mabchour
A fire has ripped through Morocco’s main parliamentary building in the capital Rabat, local media reported, in what has been dubbed an accident.
The fire, which began at 1545 hrs local time, was reportedly the result of air conditioning units catching alight.
Black plumes of smoke could be seen across the capital’s skyline.
French-language website Lakome had previously reported the fire had been caused by a butane gas explosion, quoted unnamed parliamentary sources.
No casualties or injuries have been reported.
