Essam el-Erian, the Vice Chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Freedom and Justice Party [FJP], called political forces to exchange dialogue with President Mohammed Morsi to enable an exit from the current crisis. In a post on his Facebook account, el-Erian also said: “There are facts that are being deliberately ignored or altered, such as the constituent assembly being formed at the al-Wafd Party headquarters under broad national consensus, participants in the assembly taking part in formulating the draft constitution by consensus and with recorded signatures.” “Article 3 was left unchanged,”the FJP official said, “despite the absence of church representatives, the disputed article regarding women was scrapped and the word \"society\" was removed from the article relating to public order and morality.” The Islamist politician directed a warning at so-called “Mubarak’s men,” saying “Egypt will go forward and will not go back. Repent your crimes and do not add further crimes because the hour of judgment shall be hard and you will not be spared by the street children or the workers you gather or hire.” El-Erian concluded his caution by quoting from the Quran, saying: “For the scum disappears like forth cast out; while that which is for the good of mankind remains on the earth.”
