Kuwait's Ambassador in Tripoli Mubarak Al-Adwani asserted that the Libyan-Kuwaiti relations are strong and deeply-rooted, noting that Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad has always been keen on the security and stability of Libya.
In statements to MENA correspondent in Tripoli, Adwani voiced hope that his country's relations with Libya would further develop in the political, economic, cultural and media domains.
He also voiced hope that Libya could start a new era that would lead to bolstering the two countries' relations at all levels, expressing his wish that Libya will be open for Kuwaiti investors.
Adwani also said that Kuwait was the first to pronounce its backing for Libya's interim national council, citing its provision of 180 million dinars in the form of logistics to Libya.
As regards the internal situation in Libya, the Kuwaiti diplomat said Libya does not have any pillars of functioning state at the current phase, but, he voiced hope that it will be able rebuild itself and become a functioning state with societal participation.
