Police forces have returned to Rafah, Egypt following an absence of security in the city since the January 25 2011 revolution, a source confirmed on Saturday. The North Sinai area shares its eastern border with the Gaza Strip whose security headquarters were torched and destroyed during the revolt. The security source said that troops have been stationed to surround the town to combat terrorist attacks Egyptian residents of the city have expressed their pleasure of the deployment of the security forces. They voiced their hope that the Egyptian authorities could eliminate the current state of insecurity as soon as possible.
